Non-Slip Entrance Barrier Mat – PVC Backed

The  Non-Slip Entrance Barrier Mat is a heavy-duty dirt-trapping mat designed to help keep entrances cleaner in homes and workplaces. Featuring an absorbent polypropylene surface, PVC backing and protective PVC edging, it provides a practical solution for areas exposed to frequent foot traffic.

Its 6mm pile helps collect dirt and moisture from footwear, while the rubber-style PVC backing is designed to reduce movement on hard floors. Available in five colours and a range of sizes, this rectangular entrance mat combines everyday functionality with a modern speckled finish.

Polypropylene Surface for Dirt and Moisture Control

The mat features an absorbent polypropylene pile intended to collect dirt and moisture before they are carried further into a building.

This makes it useful for entrance areas where footwear regularly brings in dust, debris and dampness.

The listing describes the pile as hard-wearing and resistant to shedding. However, it does not provide measured absorption capacity or abrasion-resistance results.

PVC Backing and Edging

The PVC backing and border are designed to help the mat sit flat and reduce unwanted movement.

The source identifies tiles, lino, laminate and wooden flooring as intended surfaces.

Actual grip and floor compatibility can vary. For sensitive wooden or vinyl flooring, check the flooring manufacturer's recommendations before using a PVC-backed mat.

No independently tested slip-resistance rating is supplied..

The speckled pattern provides a practical appearance for entrance areas where everyday dirt may be visible.

The product is offered in multiple sizes, but the supplied listing does not identify individual dimensions.

Before ordering, confirm the selected width and length. Also check door clearance, as the 6mm measurement refers to pile height, not necessarily the mat's total thickness.

Cleaning and Maintenance

The RSM RUGS barrier mat is advertised as machine washable and suitable for cleaning with a powered hose.

For routine maintenance, remove loose dirt regularly to prevent debris building up in the pile.

The listing does not specify an approved washing temperature, machine cycle or maximum hose pressure. Confirm these details before cleaning.

Larger sizes may not fit inside a domestic washing machine, so check the mat dimensions and your machine's capacity before washing.
