2. Use of Our Website
By using our website, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information when placing orders.
- Use the website for lawful purposes only.
- Avoid activities that may damage, disrupt or compromise website security.
- Refrain from copying or distributing website content without authorisation.
- Avoid fraudulent transactions or misuse of our services.
We reserve the right to restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect our website, customers or business.
3. Product Information and Availability
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, specifications, measurements and prices are accurate.
However:
- Product colours may vary slightly due to lighting conditions and screen settings.
- Measurements and thicknesses may be subject to manufacturing tolerances specified in the product description.
- Product images may include accessories or installation environments that are not included in the purchase.
- Product availability may change without prior notice.
- Customers should verify product suitability for their intended application before ordering.
Certain rubber products may have characteristics such as a natural rubber odour, surface texture variations or minor manufacturing differences.
These characteristics do not necessarily indicate a defect, provided the goods meet their descriptions, required standards and applicable legal requirements.
If you are uncertain about product specifications, please contact us before purchasing.
4. Pricing and Payment
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) unless otherwise stated.
- Prices include VAT where applicable, as indicated during checkout.
- Delivery charges, where applicable, are displayed before order submission.
- Promotional offers and discount codes are subject to their stated terms.
- We reserve the right to change prices before an order is accepted.
- Accepted orders will not be affected by subsequent price changes.
Payments must be completed using the payment methods available at checkout.
Payment transactions are processed through the payment providers integrated with our Shopify store.
We reserve the right to decline orders where payment cannot be authorised or where there are reasonable grounds to suspect fraudulent activity.
5. Orders and Order Confirmation
When placing an order, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products.
After completing checkout, you will normally receive an email acknowledging receipt of your order.
This acknowledgement does not necessarily constitute acceptance.
A binding sales contract is formed when we send confirmation accepting your order or confirming dispatch, unless otherwise expressly agreed.
We may decline an order before acceptance for legitimate reasons, including:
- Product unavailability
- Incorrect pricing or product information
- Payment processing failures
- Suspected fraudulent activity
- Delivery restrictions
- Other circumstances preventing order fulfilment
If payment has already been collected for an order we cannot fulfil, we will arrange a refund.
6. Shipping and Delivery
Safety Rubber Mats aims to deliver orders safely and efficiently across the delivery locations supported by our website.
Delivery Charges
Delivery charges are calculated based on factors such as product dimensions, weight, delivery destination and selected shipping service.
The applicable shipping cost will be displayed at checkout before payment.
Delivery Timeframes
Estimated delivery times may vary depending on product availability, order size and destination.
Customers will receive relevant order updates through the contact information provided during checkout.
Unless a different delivery period has been agreed, consumer orders will be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days of the contract being formed, as required by applicable UK law.
Delivery Delays
Occasional delays may arise due to courier issues, adverse weather, logistical disruptions or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Where delivery is significantly delayed, we will communicate available options and honour applicable consumer rights.
Delivery Responsibility
For consumer purchases, responsibility for the goods generally passes to the customer when the products come into the physical possession of the customer or a person identified by them, subject to applicable legal exceptions.
Please refer to our Shipping Policy for further delivery information.
7. Order Cancellations
If you wish to cancel an order before dispatch, please contact us promptly.
Email: sales@safetyrubbermats.co.uk
Phone: +44 7723 809363
We will make reasonable efforts to process cancellation requests before dispatch.
Consumer Cancellation Rights
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers purchasing most standard products online generally have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods, without providing a reason.
Where an order contains multiple items delivered separately, the cancellation period normally runs from receipt of the final item.
To exercise this right, you must communicate your decision to cancel before the applicable deadline.
Following cancellation, you normally have a further 14 days to return the goods.
Certain products, such as goods made to a customer's specifications or clearly personalised, may be exempt from standard change-of-mind cancellation rights.
Your statutory rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods remain unaffected.
8. Returns and Refunds
We aim to provide a fair and transparent returns process in accordance with UK consumer protection legislation.
Change-of-Mind Returns
Eligible customers may return standard products under their statutory cancellation rights.
You may handle and inspect the goods to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, as you reasonably would in a shop.
Where goods have been handled beyond what is necessary for inspection, we may make a lawful deduction for any resulting reduction in value.
Return Shipping Costs
For change-of-mind returns, customers may be responsible for return shipping costs where this responsibility has been disclosed before purchase.
Due to the size and weight of some rubber flooring and matting products, specialised return transport may be necessary.
Where required by law, applicable information concerning return transportation costs for goods that cannot normally be returned by post will be provided before purchase.
Refund Processing
Refunds will be issued using the original payment method unless another method is expressly agreed.
For valid statutory cancellations, refunds will include the original standard delivery charge where required by law. Additional charges for enhanced delivery services are generally not refundable.
We will process statutory cancellation refunds within the applicable legal period and may withhold reimbursement until the returned goods are received or evidence of their return is provided, where legally permitted.
Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods
If you receive products that are defective, damaged, not as described or otherwise fail to meet applicable legal requirements, please contact us.
You may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Where goods are legally classified as faulty, we will meet our applicable obligations relating to reasonable return costs.
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts your statutory consumer rights.
9. Custom-Cut and Made-to-Order Products
Some products sold by Safety Rubber Mats may be cut to specified measurements, manufactured to order or otherwise customised.
Products genuinely made to a customer's individual specifications or clearly personalised may be exempt from the standard 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right.
However, this exemption does not automatically apply to every product offered in a range of standard size options.
Customers should check the relevant product description and contact us if clarification is required.
Customised products must still conform to their descriptions, be of satisfactory quality and be fit for any particular purpose made known to us where applicable.
Statutory remedies remain available for faulty or non-conforming products.
10. Damaged or Missing Deliveries
We recommend inspecting your delivery as soon as reasonably possible.
If items arrive damaged, incomplete or incorrect, please contact us at sales@safetyrubbermats.co.uk.
When reporting an issue, please provide:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Photographs of damaged or incorrect products, where available
- Details of any missing items
We will investigate the matter and provide an appropriate resolution.
Prompt notification helps us investigate delivery problems efficiently, but failure to report an issue immediately does not remove your statutory rights.
11. Product Installation and Usage
Rubber flooring and safety matting must be selected, installed, maintained and used appropriately for their intended applications.
Customers should:
- Follow the relevant manufacturer's installation and maintenance instructions.
- Prepare floors and installation surfaces according to applicable recommendations.
- Select suitable products for the expected weight, traffic and environmental conditions.
- Avoid using products for applications outside their stated specifications.
- Inspect matting periodically for wear, movement, damage or deterioration.
Certain products may require professional installation depending on their size, intended application or technical requirements.
Playground, industrial and other safety-related products should be selected with reference to relevant safety requirements and any applicable product-specific standards.
We do not guarantee that a product will eliminate all risks of slips, falls, injuries or surface damage.
Nothing in this section limits our obligations to provide goods of satisfactory quality, fit for their stated purpose and as described.
12. Product Warranties
Some products may include a manufacturer's warranty or an additional commercial guarantee.
Where applicable, warranty information will be provided in the relevant product description or accompanying documentation.
Warranty terms may vary depending on the manufacturer and product type.
Any commercial warranty is provided in addition to, and does not replace, your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
For warranty-related enquiries, please contact sales@safetyrubbermats.co.uk.
13. Promotions and Discount Codes
We may periodically offer promotional discounts, seasonal sales and coupon codes.
Unless otherwise stated:
- Promotional codes must be applied during checkout.
- Offers cannot necessarily be combined with other discounts.
- Discounts are valid only within the specified promotional period.
- Certain products or collections may be excluded.
- Promotions may be restricted to eligible customers or orders.
We reserve the right to correct errors in promotions and withdraw offers before they are accepted, subject to applicable legal requirements.
14. Intellectual Property
All website content, including text, graphics, layouts, product descriptions, images, logos and other materials, is owned by Safety Rubber Mats or used with appropriate permission, except where otherwise stated.
You may browse and use website content for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You must not reproduce, distribute, modify or commercially exploit protected content without appropriate authorisation.
Third-party trademarks and product names remain the property of their respective owners.
15. Limitation of Liability
We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable consequence of our breach of these Terms & Conditions or our failure to use reasonable care and skill, subject to applicable law.
We do not seek to exclude or restrict liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Breach of statutory consumer rights
- Any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted
For business customers, different limitations of liability may apply where expressly agreed and legally enforceable.
We are not responsible for losses arising solely from circumstances outside our reasonable control where the law permits such limitations.
16. Website Availability
We aim to keep our website secure, accessible and operational.
However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access at all times.
Website availability may occasionally be affected by maintenance, software updates, technical problems or external service disruptions.
We may temporarily suspend certain website functions where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security or operational purposes.
17. Privacy and Personal Information
We respect your privacy and are committed to handling personal information responsibly.
Personal data collected through our website is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.
Information may be collected and processed for order fulfilment, payment processing, customer service, website security and other legitimate purposes.
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further details about the information we collect, how it is used and your data protection rights.
18. Third-Party Services and Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or use external services, including payment providers, delivery companies and technical service providers.
Third-party websites may operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
We do not control independently operated third-party websites and are not responsible for their content or practices.
This does not affect our responsibilities to customers under applicable consumer law.
19. Events Beyond Our Reasonable Control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Examples may include:
- Severe weather conditions
- Natural disasters
- Transportation disruptions
- Industrial action
- Major telecommunications failures
- Government restrictions
- Other unforeseen events affecting operations
Where such circumstances materially affect an order, we will take reasonable steps to communicate with the customer and provide any remedies required by law.
20. Business Purchases
We supply products to both individual consumers and business customers.
Where goods are purchased wholly or mainly for business purposes, certain consumer-specific rights, including statutory cooling-off rights, may not apply.
Any additional commercial terms, agreed quotations, bulk order conditions or written supply agreements may apply to business transactions.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or obligations that cannot legally be restricted.
21. Changes to These Terms & Conditions
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, products, business operations or applicable legal requirements.
Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
The terms applicable to an accepted purchase will generally be those in effect when the relevant contract was formed, unless a change is expressly agreed or otherwise required by law.
We encourage customers to review this page periodically.
22. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections applicable to customers residing elsewhere in the United Kingdom.
Disputes may be brought before the courts of England and Wales, without removing any mandatory rights that consumers in Scotland or Northern Ireland may have to bring proceedings in their home jurisdiction.
We encourage customers to contact us first so we can attempt to resolve disputes amicably.
23. Contact Information
