Polypropylene Scraper Pile for Dirt Control

The mat features a tufted polypropylene surface designed to help scrape loose dirt and mud from footwear.

The listing describes scraper mats as having firmer carpet fibres, making them useful at entrances where shoes regularly bring debris onto the floor.

Polypropylene provides a practical textile surface for this type of entrance mat, while the bordered construction gives the mat a defined edge.

The product is advertised as hard-wearing and durable, although no abrasion-test results or service-life figures are supplied.

Non-Slip Rubber Backing

The heavy-duty rubber backing is designed to help the mat remain in position during normal use.

This makes the product suitable for consideration in entrances, kitchens and hallways where mat movement may be inconvenient.

Actual grip depends on the floor surface and surrounding conditions. No independent slip-resistance classification is provided.

For sensitive flooring, including some treated wood and vinyl surfaces, check the flooring manufacturer's recommendations for rubber-backed mats.

Choosing the Right Size

Smaller options, such as 40 × 60cm and 50 × 80cm, are practical for individual doorways and compact entrances.

Medium sizes, including 60 × 90cm and 60 × 120cm, provide additional floor coverage for entrance areas.

For hallways or larger spaces, the 60 × 180cm and 80 × 200cm options offer longer coverage.

Measure the available space before ordering and check the clearance beneath any door that opens over the mat.

The listing gives an approximate total height of 7mm, but individual pile construction may vary.

Cleaning and Maintenance

The source recommends daily vacuuming to help maintain the textile surface.

Regular vacuuming removes accumulated loose dirt and helps keep the scraper pile clear.

The mat is also advertised as machine washable. However, the listing does not specify an approved washing temperature, cycle or drying method.

Check the manufacturer's care instructions before machine washing, particularly for larger sizes that may exceed a domestic washing machine's capacity.
