Absorbent Entrance Mat for Dirt and Moisture Control

The barrier mat is designed to help prevent dirt and moisture from spreading beyond an entrance.

Its polypropylene pile provides a surface for wiping footwear before entering a room or walking onto surrounding flooring.

This makes it relevant for hallways, doorways, reception areas and other locations where people regularly enter from outside.

The mat is described as hard-wearing and suitable for high-traffic environments. However, no independently verified footfall capacity or durability rating is supplied.

PVC Backing and Edging for Hard Floors

The mat features PVC backing and edging, intended to help it remain flat and resist movement during everyday use.

The listing specifically identifies compatibility with several hard flooring surfaces:

Tiles

Linoleum

Laminate

Wooden flooring

The PVC border is also designed to reduce corner lifting.

Although the product is marketed as non-slip, the source does not provide a tested slip-resistance rating. Grip may vary with floor finish, moisture and cleaning products.

For sensitive or specially treated flooring, check whether PVC-backed mats are compatible with the floor manufacturer's care recommendations.

Available Colours and Sizes

Choose from five advertised colour options:

Grey, beige, brown, red and blue.

Each colour features the product's speckled barrier-mat design. The listing also identifies a range of available sizes, although the individual length and width measurements are not provided.

Before ordering, measure the intended entrance area and confirm the exact dimensions of the selected variant.

The stated 6mm pile height does not necessarily represent the overall mat thickness, including the PVC backing. Check total thickness if the mat will sit beneath a door with limited clearance.

Cleaning and Care

This barrier mat is described as machine washable and suitable for cleaning with a hose.

Machine washing can be useful for routine maintenance, while hose cleaning offers an alternative for larger mats or more heavily soiled surfaces.

The original listing notes that larger sizes may not fit into a domestic washing machine.

No specific washing temperature, detergent requirements, spin speed or drying instructions are supplied. Confirm the manufacturer's care recommendations before washing.

Indoor and Outdoor Placement

The product title advertises indoor and outdoor use, and the mat is designed to collect dirt and moisture at entrances.

However, the source does not confirm whether it is suitable for permanent exposure to rain, frost or direct sunlight.

For exposed outdoor locations, verify weather resistance before installation. A covered entrance may present different conditions from a fully exposed doorway.
