Description:

Heavy Duty Natural Coir Door Mat – Thick PVC Backed Entrance Mat

The Heavy Duty Natural Coir Door Mat is a traditional entrance mat made from natural coconut coir fibres with a PVC backing. Designed for indoor and outdoor entrances, it provides a firm, bristled surface for wiping footwear and collecting dirt before it is carried into the building.

Its natural finish and thick coir pile make it a practical choice for homes and other entrances where a simple, hard-wearing doormat is preferred. The PVC backing is intended to help keep the mat in position, while the coir fibres provide a textured surface for everyday dirt and moisture control.

Natural Coir Bristles for Entrance Dirt Control

The mat features a surface made from natural coconut coir fibres, which provide a firm texture for wiping footwear.

The bristles help loosen and collect dirt from shoe soles, making this type of mat useful near entrances where dust, mud and other loose debris may be carried indoors.

Coir also has moisture-absorbing properties, although the listing does not specify an absorption capacity or drying time.

The natural appearance makes the mat suitable for buyers who prefer a traditional doormat without a printed design.

PVC Backing for Everyday Placement

The PVC-backed coir mat is advertised as having anti-slip properties.

The backing is intended to help reduce movement during ordinary use. Actual grip may vary depending on the underlying floor surface, moisture and other conditions.

No independent slip-resistance rating is supplied. Buyers with delicate flooring should also check the flooring manufacturer's guidance on PVC-backed mats.

Indoor and Outdoor Entrance Use

This coir mat is listed for indoor and outdoor placement, including porches, hallways, patios and entrance areas.

For outdoor use, a sheltered entrance may be preferable because the listing does not establish how the mat performs during prolonged exposure to rain, frost or direct sunlight.

The source also states that the mat can be cut to size. This may be useful for entrances with unusual dimensions, but the permitted trimming method and available sizes are not specified.

Before ordering, confirm the selected length, width and thickness, particularly if the mat will be positioned beneath an opening door.

Cleaning and Maintenance

The product is advertised as easy to clean, but detailed cleaning instructions are not provided.

For general coir mat maintenance, loose surface dirt can be removed regularly to help keep the bristles clear.

The listing also mentions washing and tumble drying, but does not specify temperatures, cleaning procedures or manufacturer-approved methods. These should be verified before washing or machine drying the mat.
