Easy to clean: Loose debris can be shaken off, while the mat can also be rinsed with a hose.

Generous entrance coverage: The 60 × 80cm dimensions provide space for wiping footwear.

Plain black finish: A simple appearance suited to domestic and commercial entrances.

Flexible Rubber Studs for Effective Shoe Scraping

The distinctive feature of the  Orion scraper mat is its raised rubber pin surface.

The flexible studs are designed to make contact with the grooves and textured areas of footwear, helping dislodge mud, dirt and grit that may otherwise be carried into a building.

Unlike a flat-surfaced doormat, the raised pin construction provides a textured area for scraping shoe soles.

This makes the Orion particularly relevant for entrances where visitors regularly arrive with muddy or dirty footwear.

Bevelled Border for Easier Movement

The mat features a bevelled edge border, creating a gradual transition between the surrounding ground and the raised mat surface.

This design is intended to make it easier for wheels to pass over the mat's edges, which may be useful at entrances used by wheeled equipment.

However, the listing does not provide a load rating, accessibility certification or maximum wheel size. Suitability for wheelchairs, mobility aids and heavy trolleys should therefore be assessed against the intended application.

Suitable for Outdoor Entrances

The Orion rubber pin mat is advertised for outdoor use in a range of weather conditions.

Its rubber construction and dirt-scraping surface make it relevant for:

Front and rear entrances

Porches and external doorways

Busy household entrances

Office and commercial entrance areas

The source describes the mat as durable and suitable for year-round use, but does not provide specific temperature limits or independently tested weather-resistance ratings.

Before ordering, measure the entrance area and check door clearance. The mat's overall thickness is not specified.

Simple Cleaning and Maintenance

The Orion rubber scraper mat is designed for straightforward cleaning.

For routine maintenance, shake the mat to remove loose dirt and grit. When additional cleaning is needed, the product description recommends rinsing it with a hose.

Allow the mat and surrounding floor area to drain or dry as appropriate before returning it to use.

No specialist cleaning products or machine-washing instructions are specified.
