Polypropylene Barrier Surface for Everyday Use

The  barrier mat features a polypropylene textile surface intended to collect dirt and moisture from footwear.

This makes it useful at entrances where visitors may bring dust, loose debris or dampness onto interior floors.

The listing describes the mat as water-repellent while also identifying moisture absorption as a feature. These properties should not be confused with complete waterproofing.

The surface is also advertised as anti-static, although no measured anti-static performance or relevant testing standard is provided.

Non-Slip Rubber Backing

The mat features a rubber backing intended to help it remain in position during normal use.

The source identifies tiles, lino, laminate and wooden flooring as suitable surfaces.

However, actual grip depends on the condition and finish of the underlying floor. No certified slip-resistance rating is supplied.

For sensitive wooden, vinyl or treated flooring, check the flooring manufacturer's recommendations before using rubber-backed mats for extended periods.

Choosing the Right Size for Your Entrance

For compact entrances, the 40 × 60cm and 45 × 75cm options provide a smaller footprint.

The 50 × 90cm size offers a wider wiping area, while the 60 × 180cm and 80 × 300cm options are better suited to spaces requiring longer floor coverage.

The 120 × 150cm size provides a broader rectangular area rather than a narrow runner shape.

Before ordering, measure the available space and check door clearance. The 9mm measurement refers to pile height, not necessarily the mat's total thickness.

Although the structured listing mentions outdoor use, the detailed description specifically recommends the mats for indoor entrances.

Cleaning and Maintenance

The  barrier mat is described as washable and easy to clean.

Regular removal of accumulated dirt can help maintain the appearance and usability of the polypropylene surface.

The listing also identifies machine washing as a feature, but does not provide a permitted wash temperature, cycle or drying method.

Check the manufacturer's care instructions before machine washing or tumble drying, particularly for the larger runner sizes.
