Coir Surface for Everyday Dirt Control

The  coir entrance mat is designed to help collect loose dirt from shoes at the doorway.

Coir has a naturally firm, fibrous texture that makes it useful for wiping footwear before entering a home. Its dirt-trapping design helps limit the amount of debris carried onto surrounding floors.

The geometric pattern provides a more decorative appearance than a plain coir mat, while the brown colour retains a traditional entrance-matting look.

Non-Slip Rubber Backing

The mat includes rubber backing, advertised as a non-slip feature.

This backing is intended to help reduce movement when the mat is stepped on. However, no independently tested slip-resistance rating is supplied, and actual grip can vary with the floor surface and conditions.

If placing the mat on delicate wooden, vinyl or treated flooring, check the flooring manufacturer's recommendations for rubber-backed products.

Indoor and Outdoor Entrance Use

The mat is listed for both indoor and outdoor use, making it relevant for entranceways and doorways where a coir scraper surface is preferred.

Its 50 × 80cm dimensions provide a rectangular floor area measuring approximately 0.40m².

Before ordering, measure the intended location and check door clearance. The listing does not specify the mat's overall thickness.

Although outdoor use is advertised, no detailed weather-resistance specifications are provided. Suitability for prolonged exposure to rain and other weather conditions should be confirmed.

Cleaning and Maintenance

The product is described as easy to clean, although the source does not provide a specific cleaning method.

For general coir mat care, removing loose debris regularly is sensible. Before washing or applying cleaning products, check the manufacturer's care instructions.

Machine washing, tumble drying and pressure washing are not confirmed as suitable for this mat.
