Rubber Stable Flooring for Horses and Livestock

These 18mm rubber stable mats are designed to provide a cushioned surface over concrete flooring.

The natural rubber construction helps separate animals from the hard underlying floor, while the raised bubble top creates a patterned standing surface.

The mats are also described as providing thermal insulation from concrete. This can be useful in stable environments where animals spend extended periods standing or resting.

Although the mats are intended for animal accommodation, they should not be treated as a substitute for appropriate stable cleaning, bedding management or drainage.

The supplied listing does not provide independently tested cushioning, thermal insulation or slip-resistance ratings.

Bubble Top Surface and Ridged Drainage Underside

Each mat features two distinct surface characteristics.

The bubble top provides a raised, patterned upper surface, while the ridged underside is intended to assist drainage beneath the flooring.

This construction is relevant where moisture management is an important part of the installation.

However, the effectiveness of drainage will depend on the underlying floor, its gradient and the overall installation. The source does not specify the depth or spacing of the underside ridges.

Suitable Applications

Horse Stables and Horseboxes

The mats are advertised for use in stables and horseboxes, where a substantial rubber floor covering can provide cushioning and separation from concrete or other suitable base surfaces.

For horsebox installations, buyers should check the available floor space, vehicle weight limits and suitability of the mat layout before fitting.

Cattle and Agricultural Areas

The listing also identifies use as cow mats, making the product relevant to livestock flooring applications.

Buyers should confirm that the mat dimensions and surface design are suitable for the particular housing arrangement and animal requirements.

Gym Flooring

These mats are additionally marketed for gym use. Their 18mm natural rubber construction provides a protective covering over the existing floor.

Specific impact-resistance ratings, maximum equipment loads and suitability for dropped weights are not provided.

Coverage and Installation Guidance

Each mat measures approximately 1.8m × 1.2m, giving a nominal area of 2.16m².

A complete pack of six mats provides approximately 12.96m² of coverage before allowing for any gaps, trimming or layout adjustments.

Before ordering, measure the installation area and plan the arrangement of the six mats. Check door clearances, thresholds and adjoining floor levels to accommodate the 18mm thickness.

For stable or wash-down environments, ensure the underlying surface has suitable drainage. The ridged underside is designed to assist drainage, but it does not establish that the mats will perform adequately on every floor.

The source does not confirm whether the mats can be cut to size or whether adhesives, joining strips or other installation accessories are required.
